JCT Roastery News - May 2021

The past year or so has been very uncertain for all of us. But we've been looking forward to this time - when we open the doors of our roastery and espresso bars once again to welcome you back for coffee, treats and a chat!

We've been busy behind the scenes too! Last year, we launched our online shop and coffee subscription service - a huge thank you to all our wonderful and loyal customers for their continuing support. We send our mail order coffee out three times a week with Royal Mail, plus an option for local Oxford deliveries through the eco cycle-courier, Pedal and Post.

New roastery cafe space

We're very excited to tell you that we have a brand new roastery cafe space at our Osney Mead premises in Oxford! This new addition will be a game-changer for us and a relaxing space for you.

Our roaster has been moved to a large warehouse at the back of our cafe. That area has become the heart of operations at Jericho Coffee Traders - where we do the roasting, prepping, packing and shipping.

The room that used to house the roaster has become part of our roastery cafe. The cafe has a lovely seating area with a table by the window where you can use your laptop and indulge in a spot of people-watching, as well as a comfy sofa for relaxing. There's even an event space. We've sourced our outside planters locally and our indoor furntiture was produced by another Oxfordshire supplier, Conkers Wood and Metal Crafts.

And now that COVID restrictions allow you to come indoors, there's a children's area with a play kitchen and other toys; you get to relax with your coffee while your children can get creative!

We have also just ordered a beautiful 15kg Giesen Roaster, which should be with us by late May. Exciting!!
