Curious who are some of the faces behind Jericho Coffee Traders?
James & Lizzie - founders
James & Lizzie started Jericho Coffee Traders from the back of a beautiful Vespa 'tuk-tuk' in 2009. Fast forward to today, and the business spans multiple venues and a thriving online retail and wholesale business.
Orginally from New Zealand, James met Lizzie at the Royal College of Music in 2004 while he was a postgrad and she was an undergrad in Saxophone and Voice.
Daniel - head roaster
Known affectionately as “Stretch,” (he was the tallest Dan in a group of Dans!). Stretch is the ultimate coffee artisan and oversees the selection and roasting of the beans that define the unique character of our coffees.
He has been working in the coffee business since 2014, starting as a barista where his passion for coffee first took root - love at first Yirgacheffe!
Jon - logistics manager
Jon oversees the entire journey from the roastery to the coffee that arrives through your door.
Jon's obsession is creating value by changing our systems rather than simply working harder within them - he's always looking for those small improvements that make a big difference to our customers' experience!
Hux - wholesale manager
Hux joined our wholesale team after three successful years with Jericho Coffee Traders, managing our cafes and cultivated a vibrant coffee community across Oxford.
Hux helps our wholesale customers get the most out of our partnership and ensures their retail customers always have the perfect brew.
Amy - trainer
Amy teaches at our Oxford coffee school and is our coffee alchemist!
Not only is she a highly experienced speciality coffee barista , she also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a BASc in Psychology, and is a trained primary school teacher!
